Recocha is a colorful Colombian word for playful teasing, noisy fun, or a chaotic party atmosphere. In the song, the line "Ya, mucha recocha ya" means something like “enough messing around,” making it a memorable piece of regional slang with a lively cultural flavor.
This is a party track that links two places. Fanta Rosario is from Puerto Rico and Kris R. comes in from Colombia, and the hook says it straight: "Andamos en la doble M, de Morovi pa' Medallo" [We're riding in the double M, from Morovis to Medellín]. Morovis is a town in the middle of Puerto Rico, and Medallo is the street nickname for Medellín. The next line, "Me-medallo pa' Morovi', mucho tussi, muchos chavos" [Medellín to Morovis, lots of tussi, lots of cash], packs in two slang words worth knowing: tussi is the party drug sold as pink cocaine, and chavos is Puerto Rican slang for money. Then it swings to something almost spiritual, "Entre los ángele' y el diablo" [Between the angels and the devil], before going right back to the club.
Most of the song is bragging, and a lot of it is very explicit, so be warned. The fun bits are the flexes: "Ella dice le gusta que estoy Gucci hasta los pies" [She says she likes that I'm in Gucci down to my feet], and "Mi mansión flow MTV Cribs" [My mansion has that MTV Cribs flow], which points to the old MTV show that toured celebrity houses. Kris R. even jokes "Yo ni siquiera canto" [I don't even sing], which is a funny thing to say in the middle of a song. My favourite line for learners is "Si no veo plata en la mesa, arranco, ja" [If I don't see money on the table, I'm out, ha]: plata is everyday Latin American Spanish for money, and arrancar here means to take off or leave.
