Des Bisous Lyrics in English by Aupinard, Myra
Gestuelle refers to a person's body language, gestures, or mannerisms. It's a more nuanced and sophisticated word than simply saying "gestures."
In the song, the artist sings, "J'aime tes façons, ta gestuelle" (I like your ways, your body language). This word adds a layer of intimacy and observation, highlighting how the singer appreciates the subtle, non-verbal expressions of their beloved.
"Des bisous" ("Kisses") is a tender, playful song about two people trying to build something gentle out of an intense connection. The narrator keeps returning to the same promise, that this would be soft and unhurried, more about touch than talk. Words keep failing them, so their bodies do the explaining instead.
The verses trace the messiness underneath that promise. There is real affection, but also hesitation, missed timing, and moments where the narrator admits they do not always get it right. Coming home, slowing down, and paying closer attention become small acts of care that hold the relationship together.
By the bridge, the narrator settles into wanting this person fully, on any terms, as long as they keep taking it slow. It is a song about choosing softness on purpose, even when things could easily rush or fall apart.
