LOS IRACUNDOS

ARTIST BIO

Los Iracundos are an iconic melodic pop group from Paysandú, Uruguay, formed in 1958 and active since the 1960s. They began as a teenage rock-and-roll band called Los Blue Kings, then adopted the name Los Iracundos after signing with RCA Victor. That shift helped define their romantic, melody-first sound that spread across Latin America.

Fronted by singer-songwriter Eduardo Franco, the band built its identity on heartfelt love songs and instantly recognizable choruses. Their late-1960s breakthrough Puerto Montt became a signature classic, followed by fan favorites like Te lo pido de rodillas and Chiquilina. If you want Spanish that sticks, Los Iracundos are pure sing-along storytelling.
