Lasso, born Andrés Vicente de Jesús Lazo Uslar on February 18, 1988, is a Venezuelan singer and composer. He began his solo career in 2011 with the release of his album "Sin Otro Sentido." Lasso's music is a blend of pop rock with influences from Latin and European rhythms like Flamenco. When designing his first album's artwork, he decided he would change his name to Lasso to pay homage to a Phoenix song of the same name he really enjoyed. His single "Te Veo" became a number one hit in Venezuela and South America. In 2015, Lasso moved to Mexico City to further expand his audience and musical career. He has since released several albums, including "El Exilio Voluntario de una Mente Saturada" and "Cuatro Estaciones." Lasso has received numerous awards, including Debut Artist of the Year at the Pepsi Venezuela Music Awards in 2012 and Pop Artist of the Year in 2013. He continues to create music that resonates with audiences around the world.
