"Salsa Giants" is a landmark all-star salsa collaboration assembled by veteran producer and pianist Sergio George. It came together on August 31, 2012, when George gathered a lineup of the genre's biggest legends for a historic live concert at the Curaçao North Sea Jazz Festival.
The stage brought together icons such as Oscar D'León, Tito Nieves, Cheo Feliciano, Willy Chirino, and La India, whose voice leads this track. The concert was later released as the 2013 live album "Sergio George Presents: Salsa Giants" and a companion documentary, and went on to top the Billboard Tropical Albums chart, earning gold and platinum certifications across Latin America.
Sergio George himself is one of salsa's most influential figures: born in New York City to Puerto Rican parents, he built his reputation producing hits for Tito Nieves, Marc Anthony, La India, and Celia Cruz, and has won multiple Latin Grammy Awards, including Producer of the Year.
