Luis Brown is a singer and songwriter from the Dominican Republic, and one of the leading voices in the country's new wave of trap and dembow. He opened his YouTube channel in 2020 and put out his first single, La Cartera, in 2023, building an audience of more than half a million subscribers along the way.
His music leans on Dominican street slang and a heavy Caribbean rhythm section, and songs like Complica, Ma Buena and Yelba have carried him onto the charts at home. He has recorded with El Alfa, Lil Naay and Slayter, and his verses are a good place to hear how young Dominicans actually talk.
