Agora Estou Sofrendo Lyrics in English by Calcinha Preta, Gusttavo Lima
Embaixador translates to "ambassador". It is an unusual word choice in a romantic context, since it normally refers to a diplomatic representative of a country.
In this song, the word playfully refers to singer Gusttavo Lima, nicknamed "O Embaixador" ("The Ambassador"). The line "Esse é o embaixador que eu conheço" ("This is the ambassador I know") turns his nickname into a wink at his larger than life charm.
Get ready to feel all the feels with Calcinha Preta and Gusttavo Lima's "Agora Estou Sofrendo"! This song is a powerful declaration of heartbreak and betrayal. The singer is confronting someone who clearly lied about their feelings, stating directly, "Não há amor para mim não, Você estava mentindo" [There is no love for me, you were lying].
It's a raw look at the pain of realizing someone never truly loved you, despite their charms. The lyrics ask, "Quais as armas que encontra Pra fazer seus encantos?" [What weapons do you find to make your charms?], highlighting the manipulative nature of the person. The repeated line, "Me fere, me risca de amor, Tu foge, não me alimenta" [You hurt me, you scratch me with love, you run away, you don't feed me], really drives home the idea of being wounded by a love that was never real, leaving the singer suffering. It's a relatable anthem for anyone who's been through a tough breakup!
