Soda Stereo was an Argentine rock band formed in 1982 by Gustavo Cerati, Héctor "Zeta" Bosio, and Charly Alberti. The band achieved international success throughout the 1980s and 1990s, playing a mix of rock, pop, and Latin American styles. They are considered one of the most influential and important Latin American bands of all time, and their influence can be heard in the music of many Latin American artists today. The band released seven studio albums, two live albums, and numerous singles and compilations before disbanding in 1997. The band had a brief reunion in 2007.
