I can't understand how a world
That makes things so wonderful
Just look at what I've got
It's a precious collection, I know
Someone who already has everything!
Who on earth has as much as I do?
If you look around you'll say
I've got the strangest, most curious things
There's nothing left I want
Do you want a what's-it-called?
But up there, what could there be?
I'd learn everything, I just know it
I'd like to try dancing too
And walk on those, what are they called?
I can't do that with my fins
I'd like legs so I could jump
And stroll along the, how do you say?
I'd see the people who
Are always in the sun, how I'd love
To be there, free for no reason!
How I'd love to get out of the water
What I'd pay to lie in the sun for a while
I bet on land daughters never get scolded
They learn things fast in life
They can charm you and they know
Every answer to what you ask
What's fire? And do you know why, how do you say?
But one day I, if I ever can
Will explore that shore up there
How I'd love to live there
