SONG MEANING

“Lloro Por Ti [Remix]” brings together Puerto Rico’s powerhouse duo Wisin & Yandel with the smooth vocals of Enrique Iglesias to paint a vivid picture of heartbreak. The narrator is trapped in regret after making “the worst decision” of his life: saying goodbye to the person he loves. He relives memories of kisses, the taste of shared cigarettes, and the feel of her skin, only to discover that she has moved on while he remains stuck in a room that now feels painfully empty. The catchy reggaetón beat contrasts with the raw emotion of the lyrics, creating a bittersweet dance track about longing, insomnia, and the helpless tears that come when love slips through your fingers.

At its core, the song is a plea for reconciliation. Every “Lloro por ti” (I cry for you) is both confession and hope: a confession that life has shattered into “a thousand pieces,” and a hope that the relationship still has “algún remedio” (some remedy). Listeners are invited to feel the tug-of-war between pride and vulnerability, rebellion and surrender, as the singer begs his partner to end the distance. The result is an anthem for anyone who has ever stayed up all night replaying mistakes, certain that the only cure is one more chance at love.
