BedrockBedrock (from The Flintstones)

While "Bedrock" is an English word, its inclusion in an Italian song by Sfera Ebbasta is particularly interesting and culturally resonant for English speakers.

In the lyrics, Sfera says, "Pietre così grosse che sembra di stare a Bedrock" (Stones so big it seems like being in Bedrock). This is a direct reference to the fictional prehistoric city from the popular American cartoon "The Flintstones." He uses this playful comparison to emphasize the enormous size of his jewelry, creating a vivid and memorable image that connects with a familiar cultural touchstone.

"X6" is a flex track. Sfera Ebbasta spends it listing the proof that his life changed: watches that are not the obvious Plain Jane everyone else wears, a girlfriend who does not fit into her Balmain jeans, and a BMW X6 doing two hundred while people turn their heads and shout after him.

Underneath the bragging there is a quieter idea. He says he keeps his feet on the ground, and only when he smokes does his head go off into space. He spends money every day as if it were not his, which is less a boast than an admission of how unreal the money still feels.

The sharpest line is about people. He compares friends to jewellery and then says they are all fake. Surrounded by everything he wanted, the person he trusts least is whoever showed up once he got it.

BIA takes the second half in English and Spanish, matching him rather than answering him. She is there for business, she knows what she is worth, she is out with her girls, and she is living like a soap opera. Her verse turns the song from one man showing off into two people enjoying the same win.
