jambo — rose apple

Jambo refers to the 'rose apple', a tropical fruit known for its delicate flavor and fragrant aroma. It's a beautiful and somewhat rare word in everyday Portuguese, making it stand out in the lyrics.

In the song, the line "Nossas lĂnguas namoram e o jambo treme" (Our tongues flirt and the rose apple trembles) uses jambo to evoke a sense of exotic sweetness and a subtle, almost sensual tremor, adding a unique and poetic layer to the romantic imagery.

Baby95 is a sunny postcard of passion, delivered like a cheeky radio dedication. Liniker opens the track as a late-night host inviting listeners to share their sweetest romances, then slips into his own story: a lazy afternoon where the backyard turns into a private beach, the sand reflects the blue sky, and every sensation feels turned up to maximum brightness.

From slow kisses under the sun to clinking glasses of rosĂ© and blackberry liqueur, the lyrics celebrate pleasure in every form – the taste of fruit, the ripple of a lover’s sway, the delicious moment when two people melt into each other. It is a playful, sensual hymn to being fully present with someone you adore, reminding us that sometimes the perfect getaway is as close as your own home, a splash of sunlight, and a partner who makes you feel like you are glowing from the inside out.

Liniker de Barros Ferreira Campos, known simply as Liniker, is a Brazilian singer, songwriter, and actress born in Araraquara, in the state of SĂŁo Paulo. She grew up in a musical household surrounded by samba, samba rock, and soul, and first found wide attention as the leader of the band Liniker e os Caramelows, whose viral single "Zero" and crowdfunded debut album Remonta made her one of the freshest voices in Brazilian Black music.

Liniker publicly came out as a transgender woman in 2017 and launched her solo career in 2020 with the acclaimed album Indigo Borboleta Anil. In 2022 she became the first transgender woman to win a Latin Grammy, and in 2023 she was named to a chair in the Brazilian Academy of Culture, another historic first. Her sound blends R&B, blues, and soul with the rhythms of samba rock, and CAJU, the 2024 album that includes "Tudo," is a warm, romantic showcase of that eclectic style.
