I learned that most of the time
Things aren't what they seem
That we're a species that specializes in lying
So we can build a future with lies
Count how many times we make disappear
With just one phrase what we wouldn't want to lose
Life slips away from us, we keep letting it run
The train with the love that only passes once
I learned not to laugh at anyone with arrogance
Because I don't know what my circumstances will be
The clothes I look best in are those of the soul
I learned that calm is a good adviser
When it's time to make sure decisions
That I'm not the smartest
But with an opportunist I must be a beast
And I know that one can mess up
Like a normal human being
That it's really valuable that they forgive you
That you can't trample on your word
That love isn't enough when respect doesn't reach
It's like plowing in the sea
I'm not better than anybody, nobody's better than me
Even though I don't get how everyone wants to look alike
How people clone themselves, lose their own voice
And they don't know where to walk when they get up
I learned that wanting to know everything that they think about me
It's opening the door to envy
Saying, 'How are you, ma'am? Come in, it's your house'
Because later they drag
Because later they crush you like chains of the soul
You miss a brother when you need him
The one who suffers most is the one who loves you most
Another dawn where I don't even have a pillow
That life is beautiful but it's not a fairy tale
I know that one can mess up
Like a normal human being
That it's really valuable that they forgive you
That you can't trample on your word
That love isn't enough when respect doesn't reach
It's like plowing in the sea
