I didn't hear the alarm, it's already half past twelve
I quickly got out of bed on the wrong foot
I eat burnt toast, I wasn't paying attention
Drink the worst cup of coffee I've ever made
But I only find my lock and nothing else
Maybe time for a new job
I've been standing at Central Station for a while
Waiting for a train on the wrong platform
So I run and just catch it
It was close but I made it
I'm dead tired, my eyes are closing
Even though that bench isn't all that comfy
I wake up in a strange city
I'm kinda fed up by now
I'm on the square in the sun
It's a day that maybe didn't start off too great
But the sun's out, I spot a killer terrace
I say bring me something cool in a really big glass
And I look up and there you are
And you ask me, "Is this seat free?"
You look at me with your radiant smile and ask
How's your day, if I may ask?
