devora — devours

Devora comes from the verb devorar, meaning "to devour" or "to consume completely". It's a strong, evocative verb that goes beyond simply "eating" or "consuming".

In the song, the lyric "Y el sueño que ahora me devora" (And the dream that now devours me) uses devora metaphorically. It paints a vivid picture of a dream, or perhaps a lack of sleep due to longing, completely consuming the singer, highlighting the intensity of his emotions and how deeply he's affected by the memory of his past relationship.

Dvicio's "Te Pienso a Cada Hora" ("I Think of You Every Hour") is about the ache that lingers right after a breakup, when someone is gone but their presence is still everywhere.

The verses list small, physical reminders: clothes still in the closet, a name still on the mailbox, footprints on the floor, a fridge magnet that says "I love you." None of these things are dramatic on their own, but together they make the apartment feel haunted by someone who technically isn't there anymore.

The chorus is the emotional core: no matter how hard the singer tries to move on, even meeting someone new, the memory won't leave. It follows them into sleep and into every waking hour. The song doesn't resolve that tension. It simply admits that letting go is much harder than deciding to.
