They drag freshly painted ladies
Onto the dance floors of the republic
The courtship of grown-ups
Is more interesting than many think
From chest-hair toupee to Botox mask
In war and love everything's allowed
Men and women are sheer horror
As they gaze for hours deep into each other's eyes
And the women steal their men from other women
And the men dump their frustration on the women
Because men and women can be trusted
To gladly ruin each other's night
When they languish till the break of dawn
And then still run back home alone
They're already lying in the bushes by noon
At night you can hardly
Walk through the city park
Romantic dreamers call it love
Here you can watch hormones at work
And when they dim the lights
A nation gets pole fever
It's worst in spring
That's why I simply prefer winter
Because men and women are sheer horror
As they gaze for hours deep into each other's eyes

And men only build houses anyway
Some men love men
Some women just women
There's nothing to regret and nothing to marvel at
That's just as normal as chewing gum
Yet most will never dare to do it
