enchuló — fell in love / got hooked

EnchulĂł comes from the verb enchular, which is a colloquial and somewhat slang term, especially in some Latin American countries. It means to fall deeply in love, to become infatuated, or to get hooked on someone or something.

In the lyrics, "Ella se enchulĂł del nene que nunca la pinta" translates to "She fell in love with the guy who never calls her." This word is interesting because it's not a standard, formal verb for 'to fall in love' (like enamorarse), but rather a more passionate, informal, and intense expression of infatuation, making it memorable and unique to the song's urban context.

LOVE is a Puerto Rican trap song about a man who has built his life in the shadows and is trying to keep one person safe inside it.

The verses lay out the world he moves in. Living low, keeping problems out of sight, moving things between the north and the south, a phone going off at all hours, cars and a chain and a crew that walks in through the front door. He is not listing it to impress her. He is explaining why he disappears, why he does not pick up, and why she is still the person he thinks about when he is taking the biggest risk.

The chorus is the promise he keeps returning to. Baby, tranquila, no pasa nada. Nothing is going to happen to you as long as you stay close. He admits in the same breath that the money is dirty, and says she understood what his life was the moment she saw it. He also apologises for a night with her friend and swears it will not happen again.

By the bridge the swagger and the tenderness sit side by side. He tells her to make the most of him while he is here, to look at the stars because she already has one next to her, and that he has never folded for anyone. It plays less like a love song than a loyalty song, offered by someone who knows exactly what he is asking her to accept.

Clarent is a reggaeton and Latin trap artist from Puerto Rico, born Fabián Cartagena Torres. He built his audience through the island's trap scene before signing with Warner Music Latina.

His music sits at the harder end of Puerto Rican urbano. The beats are sparse and low, the delivery is conversational rather than showy, and the writing stays close to street detail and to the people around him. He records regularly with other artists of the same generation, including Omar Courtz.

His debut project No vuelve a suceder arrived in January 2026, after a run of singles that built the record's world one piece at a time.
