When I finally signed up for line dancing classes
Convinced it would help me meet girls
I'd told myself Friday would be a good night
It should go late
At the first class during the roll call
I saw there were more Yolandes than Stephanies
I realized I'd chosen without knowing
That wasn't my best call
I dropped my cruising plans
To focus on the Honky Tonk and the Cowboy Boogie
Like a racehorse
In contests I won it all
I shook my rump so much
Being the youngest had its share of perks
Even if I didn't meet
with whom I can whip up cookies
stews 'n' pies
And the girls on dating sites better watch out
'cause now I cook
I play cards and as a bonus
I'm the king of line dancing
The king of line dancing
With my crocodile boots
and my manly hip swing
