chorrostream / jet / flow

Chorro literally means "stream," "jet," or "flow." However, in some Latin American slang, particularly in Colombia where Blessd is from, "el chorro" can refer to alcohol or a drink, often implying a heavy or continuous flow of it.

In the lyrics, "El chorro me aconseja mal, me pone peor," it's used in this slang context. The artist is saying that alcohol is giving him bad advice and making his emotional state worse, highlighting the struggle with heartbreak and self-medication. This double meaning makes it an interesting and culturally specific word.

"NUEVA YORK" is Blessd's ache over a love he can't let go of. His girlfriend has left for New York without him, and he's stuck at home, drinking and staring at the stars, hoping something out there keeps her from moving on to someone else.

He circles back through the same memories on repeat: the loneliness, the bad advice he keeps giving himself, the body and the person he swears he'll never fully get over. He admits he's the one who's changed, calling himself "a nobody" now that she's gone, and that just makes him miss her more.

The song ends on a softer, almost hopeful note: he tells her she was the only one who ever believed in love at first sight with him, and wonders if there's still a way back to each other. Then the track closes out with quick shoutouts to the Los Money Makers crew and producer Prodmonja, the team behind the record.
