SONG MEANING

Maschio is Annalisa’s fiery confession of how far she would go in the name of love. She lists a whirlwind of wild gestures—smashing tables, emptying her wallet, even risking her career—to prove her devotion. In the chorus, she flips the script and imagines: “If I were a man…” revealing that even men break down in tears and bargain away their pride. By playfully swapping genders, she pokes fun at stereotypes and asks why vulnerability should be a “female” trait when, deep down, everyone feels the sting of jealousy and the thrill of obsession.

Behind the catchy beat lies a deeper message: blind love can drive anyone to extremes, yet it also exposes the soft spots we try to hide. Annalisa blends irony with sincerity, showing that true passion has no rulebook—only raw emotion that blurs the lines between strength and fragility.
