treibento drift / to float

treiben means "to float" or "to drift". It paints a picture of something being carried along by a current, like a boat on water.

In the song, Wincent Weiss sings "Wir lassen uns treiben" (We let ourselves drift). This beautiful phrase is used metaphorically to describe letting go of all worries and plans, simply enjoying the moment and seeing where life takes them. It perfectly captures the feeling of freedom and spontaneity shared with a good friend.

Hier Mit Dir is Wincent Weiss’s warm hug of a song that celebrates the magic of reunion. Picture old friends meeting at night, wandering carefree through familiar streets while the city sleeps. The daily grind melts away, adrenaline and laughter rush through their veins, and suddenly it feels like no time has passed at all. In that sparkling moment, being together is so effortless that nothing else seems to matter.

Even though many friends have scattered to Hamburg, Munich, or Berlin, the bond remains unbreakable. Whenever they manage to reconnect, this shared space becomes “the best place in the world” and “the best time in the world.” The song is a joyful reminder that true closeness can outlast distance and years, and that sometimes the greatest adventure is simply standing right here with the people who know you best.

Wincent Weiss is a German pop singer, born on 21 January 1993 in Bad Oldesloe in northern Germany. He first appeared on the TV talent show Deutschland sucht den Superstar in 2013, but his real breakthrough came in 2015 with a remixed version of the song "Unter meiner Haut," which reached the German top ten.

Since then he has become one of Germany's most popular pop artists, singing entirely in German with warm, emotional and personal lyrics. His albums "Vielleicht irgendwann" (2021) and "Hast du kurz Zeit" (2026) both reached number one in Germany, and he spent several years as a coach on the TV show The Voice Kids. "Hast du kurz Zeit" is the title track of his 2026 album, a heartfelt song about a marriage proposal and sharing the rest of your life with someone.
