Enfim translates to "finally" or "at last." It's a word that conveys a sense of culmination and relief after a long journey or search.
In "Ainda Bem," Thiaguinho uses enfim to express the profound joy and satisfaction of finding true love after a period of searching and even giving up. He sings, "Enfim achei o meu lugar / Agora eu sei o que é amar" (Finally I found my place / Now I know what it is to love), marking a pivotal moment of realization and contentment in the song.
“Ainda Bem” (which means “Luckily” in Portuguese) is Thiaguinho’s musical thank-you note to fate for putting the perfect person in his path. From the very first glance, the singer feels his past disappointments melt away and his life instantly become “mais feliz” — happier than ever. The song bubbles with gratitude as he lists all the ways this new love transforms everything around him: the world smells like peace, his heart beats faster and he finally understands what real love is supposed to feel like.
Beneath the catchy samba-pop rhythm lies a universal message. We all stumble through false starts and almost-loves, but when the right person appears it suddenly makes sense why the others did not work out. “Ainda Bem” captures that electric moment when hope is restored and the search is over. It is a sonic celebration of second chances, proof that love can arrive when you least expect it and, luckily, change your life forever.
Thiago André Barbosa, better known as Thiaguinho, was born in 1983 in Presidente Prudente, in the countryside of São Paulo state, and grew up partly in Mato Grosso do Sul. He picked up several instruments as a kid and spent his teenage years chasing a singing career, catching his first real break through a TV Globo talent competition in 2002.
That exposure led to Exaltasamba, the pagode group he fronted from 2003 to 2012 after stepping in for departing vocalist Chrigor. He went solo in 2012 with "Ousadia & Alegria," which brought him a Latin Grammy nomination, then followed it with "Outro Dia, Outra História" and the double-platinum "Hey, Mundo!" His live specials, from "Tardezinha" to the "Infinito" series, turned pagode shows into arena-sized events, and songs like "Ponto Fraco" have racked up tens of millions of streams.
