Contramano is a unique word that literally means 'the wrong way' or 'against traffic,' like when driving down a one-way street.
In the song, Shakira uses this poetically, singing that her heart beats a contramano (against the grain). This is a beautiful metaphor for her rebellious, free-spirited nature—a heart that refuses to follow conventional rules and chooses its own path.
