Bendecida means "blessed." It's a beautiful and heartfelt word that conveys a deep sense of gratitude and divine favor.
In this song, Natti Natasha uses it to express her profound happiness and thankfulness for her family, singing, "Contigo y con Vida soy tan bendecida" (With you and with Vida, I am so blessed). It highlights the emotional core of the song, celebrating the joy of motherhood and family.
Natti Natasha spends this whole song talking to a baby who has not arrived yet. She is counting down to it: "Yo te quiero ver" (I want to see you), "Te estamos esperando" (We are waiting for you). The title line, "Cuando las traje aquĂ" (When I brought them here), is feminine and plural, so there are two of them, and one already has a name inside the lyric: "Contigo y con Vida soy tan bendecida" (With you and with Vida I am so blessed).
What makes it work is how much of it is about the years before. "DespuĂ©s de tanto llanto" (After so many tears) sits in the opening verse, and by the chorus she is on "Todos los años que luchĂ©" (All the years I fought) and "Lo que decĂan de mĂ" (What they used to say about me). She never says what people said. The song is better for leaving it there. The quiet turn comes near the end, when "Un ángel yo pedĂ" (I asked for an angel) is answered by "TĂş eres mi segundo ángel adorado" (You are my second beloved angel), which tells you without announcing it that the first one is already home.
