Aposté is the past tense of the verb apostar, which means "to bet" or "to wager". It's a fantastic word for expressing that you've taken a risk on something.
In the song, the singer uses this to create a powerful metaphor about a failed relationship. He sings, "Aposté cruz y habían dos caras" (I bet tails, and there were two heads), describing a rigged coin toss. This clever line perfectly captures his feeling of being in a no-win situation, having gambled on a love that was destined to fail.
