Sirenas are the 'sirens' from mythology, beautiful creatures who lured sailors to their doom. It's a captivating and uncommon word to find in a pop song.
In "Amor Con Hielo," the singer uses it metaphorically in the line, "Yo me quedé en las sirenas, tú te ahogaste" (I stayed with the sirens, you drowned). He suggests that while he was distracted by other temptations, his ex was the one who ultimately 'drowned' after abandoning their relationship 'ship'.
This song by the Colombian band Morat is the ultimate post-breakup comeback. The singer is talking to an ex who left him, thinking their relationship was a sinking ship. But he has a surprise for her: "Saltaste tú de primera / Dejando un barco que al final nunca se hundió" (You jumped first / Leaving a ship that in the end never sank). He's telling her that while she thought she was escaping a disaster, he stayed afloat and is doing just fine without her.

The four of Morat met at school in Bogotá, Colombia, and were playing as Malta by late 2011, renamed before the first record. Juan Pablo Isaza sings and plays guitar, Juan Pablo Villamil plays the banjo that gives their pop its country tilt, and the Vargas brothers hold the bottom end, Simón on bass and Martín on percussion.
They broke out in 2015, first on Paulina Rubio's "Mi nuevo vicio" and then with their own "Cómo te atreves".
