Jaillit comes from the verb jaillir, meaning 'to gush', 'to spring forth', or 'to burst out'. It's a dynamic and evocative verb that suggests a sudden, forceful, and often beautiful emergence.
In "Près De Toi," the lyrics use jaillit in two poetic ways: "Mon âme jaillit sur ton sourire" (My soul gushes/springs forth on your smile) and "La lune jaillit sur ton sourire" (The moon gushes/springs forth on your smile). This imagery paints a vivid picture of joy and light bursting forth in response to a loved one's smile, making it a memorable and unique word choice in a love song.
This song from Colombian group Monsieur Periné is a beautiful, dreamy invitation to a lover. The singer asks their partner to join them and create a world just for the two of them, one with "Pas d'règles ni de clichés" (No rules or clichés). It's a call to "Allons ensemble nous promener" (Let's go for a walk together) and "forger notre destin" (forge our destiny), hand in hand, making up their own way of living and loving.
Being with this person completely changes the singer's reality. Suddenly, "la vie est douce" (life is sweet) and "le temps s'arrête" (time stops). The world becomes a magical place where life blossoms and their soul "se baigne de poésie" (bathes in poetry). The feeling is so perfect that it's like a dream they never want to end, leading to the final, repeated wish: "Je veux rester tout près de toi" (I want to stay right next to you).
