Sincérate is a command form of the verb sincerarse, meaning 'to be honest' or 'to open up'. It's a direct and emotionally charged word.
In the song, the artist sings, "DesearĂa ser tu corazĂłn pa' conocerte, sincĂ©rate" (I wish I were your heart to know you, be honest). This word is particularly enticing because it directly addresses a desire for deeper connection and truth, hinting at hidden feelings or secrets within the lyrics.
Ever been in a relationship where your head and your heart are in a full-on fight? That's the feeling at the center of MILO J's "SINCERA TE". He's torn between what he feels and what he suspects. On one hand, he tells himself to focus on the good, screaming at his heart, "que recuerde tu bondad" (to remember your goodness). But on the other, he's filled with suspicion, admitting he's found "en tu mente algo, alguien" (something, someone, in your mind). It’s a messy, relatable conflict where love makes you ignore some serious red flags.
The whole song is a plea for honesty. The title itself, Sincérate, means "be sincere" or "be honest." He's drowning in rumors and his own paranoia, feeling like he's "desangrando, en furia, duda y desconfianza" (bleeding out, in fury, doubt, and distrust). He knows things are wrong and that his partner might be hiding things from him, but he feels powerless to stop loving her. So, what does he do? He admits, "me hago el tonto y sigo la corriente" (I play the fool and go with the flow), hoping for a truth that might never come.
