prece — prayer

Prece means "prayer" or "supplication." It's a beautiful and somewhat formal word that evokes a sense of deep devotion and hope.

In the song, Luísa Sonza sings, "Fez do seu nome minha prece" (Made your name my prayer). This line beautifully conveys the depth of her love, elevating her partner's name to something sacred and central to her existence, much like a prayer.

Olhos Castanhos feels like opening a window on a bright Brazilian morning. Luísa Sonza celebrates a love so intense that even the simplest details—a shy smile, a warm hug, a pair of brown eyes—turn into fireworks. By repeating “eu te amo” she turns affection into a catchy mantra, showing how everyday signals water the seed of passion until it blooms.

In the second half, the song lifts that romance to almost spiritual heights. Sonza thanks luck, destiny and God for cleaning the dust off two tired hearts and molding them into “um só” (one). She imagines a future child who carries her partner’s features, proving that love can echo far beyond the present moment. Ultimately, the track is a joyful reminder that when you nurture love, it grows like a flower—radiant, unstoppable and rooted in gratitude.

Luísa Sonza grew up in Tuparendi, a small town in Rio Grande do Sul, and was singing at weddings and parties with a local band while still a kid. She built her name on YouTube covers, which earned her the nickname "Queen of Covers", and Universal Music signed her in 2017, putting out her debut single "Good Vibes" straight away.

Her first album, Pandora (2019), made her one of Brazil's biggest pop names, and Doce 22 (2021) brought hits like "Café da Manhã" with Ludmilla. Escândalo Íntimo (2023), home to "Chico", broke the Brazilian record for most-streamed album on its release day. In 2026 she went somewhere unexpected: Bossa Sempre Nova, a bossa nova record made with Roberto Menescal and Toquinho, followed by Brutal Paraíso.
