MENTE is LOUTA turning one simple wish into a loop you can't shake. The chorus keeps circling back to "Una melodía para siempre" (a melody forever) and "Todo lo que sale de mi mente" (everything that comes out of my mind), and then asks "¿Qué más puedo pedir? Volver a estar así" (what more can I ask for? To be like this again). Watch the small swap: the first chorus says "Que estar en mi lugar" (than to be in my place), and the later ones say "tu lugar" (your place). Same song, different point of view.
The verse is where he gets serious. He wants to "Romper mi soledad para saber quién soy" (break my loneliness to know who I am) and complains about "La falsa identidad que me separa de la gente" (the false identity that separates me from people). There's a great idiom in "es como hacerse el loco": hacerse el loco literally means "to make yourself the crazy one", but it really means to play dumb or pretend you didn't notice. And "escupir el anzuelo" (to spit out the hook) is the fish that refuses the bait, a neat way of saying he won't be fooled. It ends on a sweet image: dancing with shapes that make shadows on white walls, while something plays "en mi corazón de lata" (in my tin heart).
