constelațieconstellation

Constelație translates to "constellation". It's a beautiful and somewhat rare word to find in everyday song lyrics, making it stand out.

In the song, the lyric "Îi lipsea o stea din constelație, i-am pus alta" (She was missing a star from her constellation, I put another one in) uses the word metaphorically. It suggests that the person was incomplete or lacking something vital, and the singer stepped in to fill that void, restoring her completeness and brilliance. This poetic imagery makes the word particularly enticing.

Mulțumesc ("Thank You") turns heartbreak into a victory dance. Liviu Teodorescu sings from the viewpoint of a new lover who rescues a woman hurt by her ex. With one hand he wipes her tears, with the other he revives her dreams, transforming the ruins of her old relationship into a shining castle. Instead of anger, he offers playful gratitude: Thank you for not knowing how to love her. That failure opened the door for true affection and hope.

The song’s message shines with optimism: patience, tenderness, and a "strop de afecțiune" (drop of affection) can work miracles, replacing missing stars and lifting two hearts to "al nouălea cer" (cloud nine). It reminds us that real love heals, gratitude empowers, and one person’s loss can become another person’s treasure.

Liviu Teodorescu is a Romanian pop singer, songwriter and actor, born on 12 July 1992 in Bucharest. He started singing as a small child and later studied light music composition at the conservatory, where he trained on both piano and guitar.

He first reached a national audience as a finalist on The Voice Romania in 2011, then spent two years with the pop-rock collective Lala Band before going solo. In 2016 he won the ninth season of the impersonation show Te cunosc de undeva!, and he has since become a regular fixture on Romanian radio with singles such as Ești piesă and În brațele tale, plus duets with Andra, Adda and Dorian Popa.

His sound is bright, melodic mainstream pop with clear, conversational lyrics, which makes him a comfortable artist to learn Romanian with. Mulțumesc appeared in 2020 on his LiTEmoments vol. 3 release.
