Consolação — Consolation

Consolação means 'consolation' or 'comfort'. It's a beautiful and somewhat formal word that evokes a sense of peace and solace.

In the song, the line "Consolação à Via Láctea" (Consolation to the Milky Way) is particularly striking. It personifies the Milky Way, suggesting that even the vastness of the cosmos might need comfort, or perhaps that the comfort offered is as boundless as the galaxy itself. This poetic usage makes it a memorable and intriguing word.

Get ready to groove with Liniker, Lulu Santos, and Pabllo Vittar in "DEIXA ESTAR"! This song is all about embracing the unknown and trusting that good things are coming. The lyrics invite us to let go and let mystery be our guide, whether in dreams or anywhere else, offering a "Consolação à Via Láctea" [Consolation to the Milky Way]. It's a hopeful prayer for summer to arrive and for love to settle in, to "fincar e fazer casa / Para viver aqui comigo" [take root and make a home / To live here with me].

There's a playful impatience in the lines about watching TV for twenty-four hours, complaining that the person they're waiting for never appears, only to arrive at night, making the walls sweat! But a colorful dream brings reassurance: "Pra eu ficar tranquila / Tudo vai dar bom, bebê" [For me to stay calm / Everything will be good, baby]. The song builds to a beautiful moment where time stops, it starts to rain, a door closes, another opens, and the singer runs to find their love. It's a joyful celebration of finding what you're looking for, even when you least expect it.

Liniker de Barros Ferreira Campos, known simply as Liniker, is a Brazilian singer, songwriter, and actress born in Araraquara, in the state of São Paulo. She grew up in a musical household surrounded by samba, samba rock, and soul, and first found wide attention as the leader of the band Liniker e os Caramelows, whose viral single "Zero" and crowdfunded debut album Remonta made her one of the freshest voices in Brazilian Black music.

Liniker publicly came out as a transgender woman in 2017 and launched her solo career in 2020 with the acclaimed album Indigo Borboleta Anil. In 2022 she became the first transgender woman to win a Latin Grammy, and in 2023 she was named to a chair in the Brazilian Academy of Culture, another historic first. Her sound blends R&B, blues, and soul with the rhythms of samba rock, and CAJU, the 2024 album that includes "Tudo," is a warm, romantic showcase of that eclectic style.
