Conspirando means "conspiring." While it often carries a negative connotation in English, implying secret plots for harm, in Spanish, and especially in this song, it's used in a much more romantic and positive sense.
Here, the lyrics say, "El universo conspirando / Y todo para que tú y yo podamos encontrarnos" (The universe conspiring / And all so that you and I can meet). It suggests that the universe is actively working in a harmonious, almost magical way to bring two people together, making it a beautiful and intriguing word choice.
"Qué Suerte" is a sweet, lighthearted love song about the thrill of a new connection. The singer admits they already know their crush likes them back, and can't hide how much they like them in return.
The chorus is the heart of the song: he calls it pure luck ("qué suerte") to have met her, to be close to her, and to be able to tell her what his "foolish heart" feels. He compares the moment to the sky meeting the sea, like the universe itself conspired to bring them together.
The bridge is patient, not urgent. He knows real connection takes time, and he's happy just discovering more about her little by little. It's a song about enjoying the early, hopeful stage of falling for someone.
Kurt Schmidt Ramos grew up in Culiacán, Mexico, where his father taught him his first guitar chords. He was writing his own songs by the time he was fifteen, and that childhood habit turned into a career in 2014, when he released his debut single, “Busco a Ella.”
The songs “Se Fuerte, Corazón” and “Vengo del Futuro” carried him toward his first full album, “En Medio de Este Ruido,” in 2019, and a Latin Grammy nomination for Best New Artist followed in 2020. His second album, “La Vida,” arrived in 2021 and earned him another nomination, for Best Traditional Pop Vocal Album, at the 2022 Latin Grammys. Kurt writes plainspoken, acoustic-leaning pop, the kind of songs that read like diary entries set to guitar.
