Cenicero means "ashtray". While it seems like a simple, everyday word, its use in this song is incredibly poetic and moving.
Junior H paints a vivid picture of heartbreak when he sings, "En el cenicero me encontré una chora / que tenía todavía tu labial" (In the ashtray I found a cigarette butt / that still had your lipstick on it). This line transforms a mundane object into a powerful symbol of a past love, holding the last physical trace of a person who is now gone.
Junior H gives us a classic corrido tumbado story of heartbreak in "PIÉNSALO". The song starts with him remembering how perfect his ex was and how he imagined a whole life with her, wanting nothing more than to grow old together until "Que nos separen los años y la muerte" [The years and death separate us]. It's a sweet and serious thought, but it's immediately crushed by the reality that they're no longer together.
He spends the rest of the song trying to forget her, but everything just reminds him of what he lost. He's out partying and getting drunk with other women, but admits, "Lo que me lastima, baby, es extrañarte" [What hurts me, baby, is missing you]. He even finds a cigarette butt in an ashtray with her lipstick on it, a tiny detail that sends him spiraling. He knows it's over and that "algo se rompió" [something broke], but he can't help asking her to think about it and come back for just one more night, because as he says, "Uno vuelve a donde fue feliz" [One returns to where one was happy].
Junior H taught himself guitar and accordion off YouTube while working the kitchen at a Wendy's in Utah, where his family had moved in 2015 from Cerano, Guanajuato. Born Antonio Herrera Pérez in 2001, he uploaded his own songs under the name until one of them, "No Eh Cambiado", passed two million views and convinced him to make a career of it. The debut album Mi Vida en un Cigarro arrived in 2019.
He writes sad music, mostly: heartbreak over sierreño guitars, the corner of corridos tumbados people call urban sierreño. $ad Boyz 4 Life II (2023) reached number 14 on the Billboard 200 carrying no guest features at all, and produced "Y Lloro" and "Las Noches". Away from his own records he sings on "El Azul" with Peso Pluma, and on "Lady Gaga" with Peso Pluma and Gabito Ballesteros, which entered Hot Latin Songs at number one. In February 2026 he and songwriter Gael Valenzuela released the joint album DEPR</3$$ED MFKZ, a number one on Billboard's Top Regional Mexican Albums chart.
