narcisistas — narcissistic

Narcisista is the Spanish word for 'narcissistic', describing someone who is overly self-involved. It's a powerful and dramatic word that adds a sharp edge to any song.

In 'MI$ LLAMADA$', Junior H sings "Mujeres como tú, muy narcisistas" (Women like you, very narcissistic), accusing his ex of only caring about herself. This single word transforms a simple heartbreak song into a pointed accusation, making you wonder about the whole story.

MI$ LLAMADA$ is a late-night confession wrapped in Junior H’s signature blend of regional Mexican sounds and urban attitude. The narrator is stuck refreshing his phone, noticing that the person he loves no longer answers his calls or sends those flirty 3 a.m. texts. He can see right through her icy façade – she acts “ fría,” yet he swears he could turn her back into a “sauna.” Behind the bravado, though, lies pure vulnerability: both are hurting, both feel the emptiness of distance, and both secretly hope the spark can be rekindled.

The lyrics swing between heartache and ego. He accuses her of being narcissistic for putting herself first, but admits it would sting to see him with someone else. By repeating the unanswered-call motif, Junior H paints a picture of modern love where read receipts hurt more than words ever could. The song captures that relatable tug-of-war between pride and longing – a sonic voicemail begging her to pick up, hear his regrets, and maybe give their story one more ring.

Junior H taught himself guitar and accordion off YouTube while working the kitchen at a Wendy's in Utah, where his family had moved in 2015 from Cerano, Guanajuato. Born Antonio Herrera Pérez in 2001, he uploaded his own songs under the name until one of them, "No Eh Cambiado", passed two million views and convinced him to make a career of it. The debut album Mi Vida en un Cigarro arrived in 2019.

He writes sad music, mostly: heartbreak over sierreño guitars, the corner of corridos tumbados people call urban sierreño. $ad Boyz 4 Life II (2023) reached number 14 on the Billboard 200 carrying no guest features at all, and produced "Y Lloro" and "Las Noches". Away from his own records he sings on "El Azul" with Peso Pluma, and on "Lady Gaga" with Peso Pluma and Gabito Ballesteros, which entered Hot Latin Songs at number one. In February 2026 he and songwriter Gael Valenzuela released the joint album DEPR</3$$ED MFKZ, a number one on Billboard's Top Regional Mexican Albums chart.
