exalando — exhaling / emanating

Exalando comes from the verb "exalar," meaning to exhale or breathe out. It literally describes air leaving the lungs, but it is often used poetically to describe something giving off a strong feeling or scent, as if it were filling the air.

In "O nosso quarto exalando amor" ("Our room exuding love"), the bedroom itself seems to breathe out love like a perfume, filling every corner of the space with the couple's affection.

"Meu Beijo" is a warm, playful love song about a couple who feel completely at home with each other. It opens with a tongue-in-cheek nod to "our contemporary philosopher, Ari the accordion player," before settling into the real subject: the small, everyday comforts of being together, a good-smelling room, morning coffee, a familiar accent.

The chorus turns to longing (saudade) when they are apart, and the promise that a kiss from their partner is enough to make them follow them anywhere. It's a piseiro track built on domestic affection rather than drama, closing with a shout-out line dedicating the song to someone named Nanã.
