Elemental means 'elemental' or 'fundamental'. While it exists in English, its use in Spanish, especially in a poetic context, can be quite striking.
In the song, Humbe uses it to describe his beloved as being as essential as the very elements of nature: "Porque eres elemental como el agua / Calientas el fuego, el aire en la tierra / Viajas en el viento, llenas mis venas." This elevates the person to a foundational, life-giving force, making the word deeply meaningful and memorable.
Have you ever felt a love so strong it feels like it could never break? That's the core idea of Humbe's song "Bien Hecho." He repeats the line, "Lo que está bien hecho no se va a romper" (What's well-made won't break), making it clear he's found a love that's built to last. This isn't just any feeling; he describes this person as being as essential as the elements, saying, "Porque eres elemental como el agua" (Because you are elemental like water). This love is so powerful it makes him feel like he can heal from past pain and makes him forget what life was like before.
He's completely swept away by this person, admitting he's "loquito, cabeza de enamorado" (crazy, with the head of someone in love) and lost in their eyes. He's not afraid of the intensity, either. He'd rather face storms together than run away and believes that if love isn't passionate, it isn't real. He sings, "Si el amor no quema no es amar / Entonces yo prefiero arder" (If love doesn't burn, it's not loving / Then I prefer to burn). It's a song about finding a love that feels solid, real, and all-consuming.
