In this song, the artist sings, "Ando como cholo sin grabadora" (I'm walking around like a cholo without a boombox). This line uses a cultural reference to express a feeling of being incomplete or lost, as a boombox was once a quintessential accessory for a "cholo." Grupo Marca Registrada built itself around Fidel Castro, the Culiacán singer, songwriter and accordionist who started the group in 2013, with Luis Fernando Medina on drums, Fidel Jiménez on bass and Ángel Móndragon on guitar and backing vocals.
