"Gringo Hunter" drops you right on the US-Mexico border at night: "Lobos aullando, el desierto caliente" (wolves howling, the hot desert). Gera MX tells the story of the gringo hunters, Mexican agents who chase Americans hiding south of the border. He even calls the irony out himself: "Cazadores mexicanos contra gringos, qué ironía" (Mexican hunters against gringos, what irony). Usually it is the other way round.

The chorus is a string of commands you can learn in one breath: "Cázalo, atácalo, enciérralo, atrápalo" (hunt him, attack him, lock him up, catch him). The -lo stuck on the end means "him". Some slang to know: "merca" is drugs, "mexas" means Mexicans, "coyotes" are people smugglers, and "el papel" (the paper) is money. The Montecarlo is the Chevy Monte Carlo car, and Baja is Baja California. The hunters risk their lives for little pay, "nada monetario" (nothing about money), and the last line is touching: "Abrazo a la familia, beso un escapulario" (I hug my family, I kiss a scapular), a small religious pendant worn for protection.
