vacilóngood time / party / fun

Vacilón is a vibrant and informal word that captures the essence of having a great time, often in a lively, carefree, and even slightly mischievous way. It's more than just

"Isla Viva" is a travel itinerary set to a beat. Gente de Zona and Juan Magán spend three and a half minutes reading out places they are going, and the joke is that the list never stops. "Hoy me voy pa' Santorini con escala en New York City" (Today I'm off to Santorini with a stopover in New York City), then "Seguimos pa' Saint-Tropez, Mykonos qué rico es" (We carry on to Saint-Tropez, Mykonos, how good that is), then Bora Bora, the Maldives, the Exumas, Los Roques. Nobody arrives anywhere. That is the point.

The chorus does it again in four lines: "Hoy nos vamos pa' Tulum por la mañana / Seguimos pa' Cancún el fin de semana / Pa' Toscana a comer pizza, en la noche para Ibiza / Y despertamo' en Varadero o en la Romana" (Today we leave for Tulum in the morning / We carry on to Cancún for the weekend / To Tuscany for pizza, at night to Ibiza / And we wake up in Varadero or La Romana). Waking up in Varadero is the tell. The Cuban duo can name every expensive island on earth and the verse still lands back on their own coast, which is also where the last thirty seconds go once the travel list runs out: "De Cuba para Miami" (From Cuba to Miami) and "Y de Miami para ir pa' allá" (And from Miami to head back over there).

Gente de Zona is a dynamic Cuban duo known for their infectious blend of reggaeton, salsa, and Cuban rhythms. Hailing from Havana, they have captivated audiences worldwide with their vibrant sound and energetic performances.

Their global breakthrough came with the hit single Bailando, a collaboration with Enrique Iglesias that topped charts and amassed billions of views on YouTube. Celebrated for bringing Cuban music onto the international stage, Gente de Zona continues to inspire fans with catchy melodies and vibrant dance beats, making them a staple in contemporary Latin music.
