In "SHOFAR," Farruko uses this word to emphasize personal responsibility and divine judgment, singing, "La salvación es individual" (Salvation is individual). This line highlights a powerful message of self-accountability and faith, making it a compelling word choice for learners.
The whole song is one boundary, drawn four times. It opens and closes on the same demands — «Tú mi vida no vives» (You don't live my life), «No te robes mi paz» (Don't steal my peace), «Tú por mi no decides» (You don't decide for me), «Déjame ser y ya» (Let me be, and that's that) — and everything between them is the case for why. Farruko asks «¿Qué yo te he hecho / Pa' que tú te llenes de odio?» (What have I done to you, that you fill yourself with hate?) and tells the other person to «Sácate eso del pecho» (Get that off your chest), as if the resentment were a weight they had picked up themselves.

Carlos Efrén Reyes Rosado was writing songs at eleven, then left school to fix cars alongside his father in Bayamón, Puerto Rico, and built his first audience on MySpace. As Farruko he put out El Talento del Bloque in 2010, at nineteen.
The big records came through other people's at first: "6 AM" with J Balvin, "Passion Whine" with Sean Paul, "Krippy Kush" with Bad Bunny and Rvssian, and the "Calma" remix with Pedro Capó, which took a Latin Grammy in 2019. Then "Pepas" in 2021, guaracha electrónica built on Colombian club music rather than reggaeton, hit number one on Hot Latin Songs and has passed 1.7 billion Spotify streams. In February 2022 he stopped a Miami arena show to preach for about fifteen minutes, refused to sing "Pepas" and apologised for its lyrics, and told the crowd that Farru was retired and Carlos was there now. He returned to touring in May 2023 and released the 26-track CVRBON VRMOR in October 2024.
