inquebrantableunbreakable

Inquebrantable is a powerful Spanish adjective that means "unbreakable" or "unshatterable". It's a fantastic word to describe something that cannot be broken, either physically or emotionally.

In this romantic song, the singer declares, "Nuestra unión es inquebrantable" (Our union is unbreakable). He uses this word to express the profound strength and resilience of his love, suggesting a bond that can withstand any challenge.

This song is a super sweet declaration of love! At first, it sounds like a classic story of love at first sight. EmmaKings sings, "Cuando vi tus ojos por primera vez / Fue como una magia y me enamoré" (When I saw your eyes for the first time / It was like magic and I fell in love). He's completely smitten, falling for this person's unique personality, their "locura" (craziness) and the special way they make him smile.

But then the song reveals a much deeper story. This isn't a new crush; it's a love that has grown over a lifetime. He remembers when they were kids, singing, "Cuando pequeño solía caminar contigo, de mano con mano" (When I was little, I used to walk with you, hand in hand). It's about that incredible feeling when a deep, unbreakable friendship finally turns into something more. He's so happy to feel that he is now "más que tu amigo" (more than your friend). This person is his rock, his "apoyo" (support), and the one who makes him feel truly different.

EmmaKings pitched left-handed in the Toronto Blue Jays organization before he sang bachata for a living. Born Emmanuel Reyes Evangelista in Santo Domingo in 1997, he signed with the Blue Jays as a teenager, spent three seasons in their rookie-level clubs in the Dominican Republic and Florida, and was released without reaching the majors. He started releasing music in 2019.

His first credit came in 2020 on Wilmore "Bimbo" Franco's Classic American Tunes In Bachata, an album of American songs rebuilt as bachata by a guitarist who has played with Aventura and Romeo Santos. His own run of singles followed: "Ella" and "¿Que Tengo Que Hacer?" in 2020, "Me Enamoré" as a duet with Scarlet Evang in 2021, "Jangueo" in 2022, then "Regresa" and "Traicionera" in 2024. He works in singles, not albums, and the sound leans hard on the guitar figures of modern bachata even when the writing is closer to Latin pop. In 2022 he sang Marc Anthony's "Flor Pálida" at the blind auditions of the second season of The Voice Dominicana.
