gniewanger / wrath

Gniew translates to 'anger' or 'wrath'. It's a strong and evocative word for a powerful emotion, making it memorable and impactful.

In the song, the line "Odłóż na chwilę gniew" (Put down your anger for a moment) encourages listeners to let go of negative feelings to find a better path. This word highlights the song's theme of overcoming internal struggles and seeking peace, adding a deeper layer to its message.

Have you ever felt like giving up on something important, like a relationship or a dream? Polish pop star Dawid Kwiatkowski's song "Droga," which means "The Way" or "The Path," is a powerful anthem about holding on through tough times. The lyrics describe a difficult moment where leaving seems like an option, but the singer urges someone to stay, to grab his hand, and to put away their anger. It's a message of hope, suggesting that if they can just face each other and try one more time, a new day might surprise them and show them the path forward.

This song is all about resilience and the power of connection. Kwiatkowski sings about living without "wars" or conflicts and finding the strength to try again. The repeated line, "Nie poddawaj się" (Don't give up), is the heart of the song. It's a reminder that even when things aren't simple and the world around you feels empty, there's always a chance for a fresh start. It’s a beautiful message about finding your way together, even when the path isn't clear.

Dawid Kwiatkowski is one of Poland's most popular pop singers. Born in 1996 in Gorzów Wielkopolski, he rose to fame in 2013 as a finalist on the third season of X Factor Poland, and his debut album 9893 went straight to number one at home that same year. Since then he has released a string of albums and picked up an MTV Europe Music Award for Best European Act, becoming a household name for a whole generation of young Polish fans.

Here he is joined by Margaret, one of Poland's leading female pop artists. Born Małgorzata Jamroży in 1991 in Stargard, she broke through in 2013 with the international hit "Thank You Very Much" and has since built a career blending pop, hip-hop and electronica. "Później Ci opowiem" marks the first time these two Polish stars have recorded together.
