Desarmado literally means "unarmed". However, Danny Ocean uses this word in a beautifully poetic and metaphorical way.
He sings that knowing her eyes would leave him desarmado, or "disarmed". It's a powerful image of emotional vulnerability, suggesting that her gaze is so captivating it strips him of all his defenses, leaving him completely open and helpless to his feelings for her. This romantic metaphor makes it a truly memorable word to learn.
Have you ever had a crush so big that you can literally hear your heart beating when they get close? That's exactly what Venezuelan artist Danny Ocean is singing about in this super sweet and catchy song. He says it was totally obvious he was going to fall in love after everything they'd been through. His biggest regret? He calls it "el peor crimen" [the worst crime] not complimenting this person from the very first moment he saw them.
He paints a really clear picture of how this person makes him feel. He says his heart goes "Oh-uoh-uoh-uoh-uoh" whenever they're near. He gets a little flirty too, asking them to come closer so he can explain things with a kiss. He makes it clear this isn't just a passing feeling, telling them, "TĂş eres el deseo que emprende / En el amanecer en mi cama, chama" [You are the desire that begins / at dawn in my bed, girl]. It's a song all about that exciting, heart-pounding moment when you realize you're falling hard for someone.
