You know bailar means "to dance", but bailotear takes it to the next level. It's a fun, colloquial verb that means to dance with high energy, like you're at a party and completely letting loose.
It's formed from the noun bailoteo (a dance-off or dance party). In the song, the line "Vamo' a bailotear" is an energetic invitation to forget everything and just enjoy dancing all night, capturing the carefree spirit of the track.
Chilean urban star Cris MJ keeps things direct and loud in "Vamo A Bailotear". The hook simply orders everyone onto the dance floor: "Va-va-va-va-va-vamo' a bailotear" [Let's go dance], pairing heavy bass with a wild night out in the club. He wastes zero time being polite about his newfound wealth. He drops lines like "Que ya no soy un pobre / Ahora soy un rico joven" [I'm not poor anymore / Now I'm a young rich guy], bragging about his success while flexing that he can pick his date up in Las Condes—an upscale, wealthy sector of Santiago, Chile.
The mood mixes romance with classic Latin trap paranoia. In one breath, he melts for his date ("Mami, contigo me derrito" [Mami, I melt with you]), and in the next, he is riding around in an armored vehicle ("la blinda'") packed with security and an AR-15 ("La R15 carga'" [The loaded R-15]). Between lit bottles, thick chains ("cadenón"), and reckless party drugs like "code mora'" (purple codeine cough syrup), Cris MJ lays down an unfiltered snapshot of nightlife where danger, cash, and flirting run at full speed.
