Envidia translates to "envy." While it might seem like a common word, its repeated and emphatic use in this song makes it particularly striking and central to the song's message.
Cazzu uses it to describe the intense jealousy and ill will directed at her, singing lines like "que se mueran de envidia" (may they die of envy). This strong, almost defiant repetition highlights the theme of overcoming negativity and serves as a powerful hook for listeners.
Get ready to feel empowered with Cazzu's "Que Disparen"! This song is a fierce anthem of self-protection and resilience. Cazzu sings directly to her haters, daring them to try and bring her down: "Que disparen, que me tiren / Que lo intenten, que me miren" [Let them shoot, let them throw / Let them try, let them look at me]. She knows people want to hurt her, but she's standing strong, resisting all the deceit thrown her way.
Cazzu makes it clear that their negativity won't work. She declares, "Yo solita me voy, me voy a proteger" [I alone will go, I will protect myself], emphasizing her independence and strength. She even says their desire to harm her is making them crazy: "De desearme tanto mal / El veneno los está volviendo locos" [From wishing me so much harm / The poison is driving them crazy]. This song is all about Cazzu confidently owning her success and hard work, telling everyone to look her in the eye because she's a brave woman who earned everything she has, and their envy will be their downfall. It's a powerful message about overcoming jealousy and staying true to yourself!
