Huayra is a fascinating word because it's not standard Spanish; it comes from Quechua, an indigenous language of the Andes. It means 'wind' or 'air'.
In the context of the song, Cazzu sings, "El huayra me trajo tu perfume" (The huayra brought me your perfume). This use of an indigenous word adds a unique cultural flavor, grounding the song in the specific region of Jujuy, Argentina, and evoking a sense of ancient connection and natural mysticism. It's a beautiful and evocative word that stands out.
Get ready to feel the heat with Cazzu's "Jujuy Estrellado"! This song is all about a passionate, forbidden night under the starry skies of Jujuy, a province in Argentina. Our singer had a "mala idea de quedarme contigo toda la noche entera haciendo lo prohibido" [bad idea to stay with you all night doing the forbidden thing], and it clearly left a lasting impression!
Even though they're not even friends anymore and she left in the spring, she knows he still waits for her and dreams of her. She can't forget the way he touched her, how "Jujuy estaba estrellado como me tocabas, no me habían tocado" [Jujuy was starry, the way you touched me, no one had touched me before]. Now, she's wondering, "Ay, ¿qué será? Si vuelvo pa'l carnaval, si me disfrazo de diabla y después te salgo a buscar" [Oh, what will happen? If I come back for carnival, if I dress up as a devil and then go out to look for you]. It's a playful, longing look back at a fiery connection that just won't fade.
