Certeza translates to "certainty". It's a powerful word that expresses a firm and unwavering conviction, something you know to be true without a doubt.
In this romantic song, Carlos Vives sings, "Bailar contigo es la certeza de cumplir con mi destino" (Dancing with you is the certainty of fulfilling my destiny). He uses this beautiful word to show that his love isn't just a fleeting feeling, but a profound and undeniable truth that is guiding his life.
This song is pure, unfiltered excitement for a date night! Carlos Vives is stuck late at work, looking at a photo of the person he's about to meet and thinking, "¿Dónde estarás?" [Where will you be?]. He's rushing to meet her, imagining her in her "vestidito de cóctel" [little cocktail dress], and he's completely smitten.
The whole song builds this wonderful feeling of anticipation. He's on his way, listening to the radio, and he feels like happiness is literally hugging him. For him, the night ahead is everything. He calls dancing with her his destiny and his "boleto para entrar al paraíso" [ticket to enter paradise]. It's a sweet, romantic song about how a simple night out dancing with the right person can feel like the most important thing in the world.
