Bendición translates to "blessing." While it might seem common, its repeated and central use in this song elevates its significance beyond a simple everyday word.
Carlos Rivera uses it to describe his beloved as not just a person, but a divine gift, the very manifestation of everything good and sacred in his life. He sings, "Eres una bendición y la mejor canción," emphasizing that she is both a blessing and the best song he could ever write, making it a deeply meaningful and enticing word in this context.
Carlos Rivera's "La Mejor Canción" is a beautiful serenade, a heartfelt declaration of love and admiration. He sees his beloved as the very definition of beauty and the best version of joy, calling them "Lo más increíble que me sucedió" [The most incredible thing that ever happened to me]. It's clear this person brings immense happiness, described as "un boleto a la felicidad" [a ticket to happiness] and "la mejor manera que hay de despertar" [the best way to wake up].
This song is all about how this special person is a true blessing and the ultimate inspiration. Carlos sings, "Eres una bendición y la mejor canción" [You are a blessing and the best song], emphasizing that their love is infinite. He feels invited to fly and navigate with them, seeing "Tus ojos son la puerta al universo entero" [Your eyes are the door to the entire universe] and even seeing true love in them. It's a sweet and earnest promise to cherish and protect this person, because they've taught him how to be happy and even make a gray day colorful.
