Sfasato literally means "out of phase" or "out of sync." It's a less common, yet very descriptive word that goes beyond simple tiredness.
In "Notti In Bianco," Blanco uses it to convey a feeling of being completely disoriented and messed up after sleepless nights. He sings, "Sto tutto sfasato," expressing a deep sense of mental and physical imbalance, making it a powerful word to describe his state.
Blanco opens with a confession: "Sai che sono marcio" (You know I'm rotten), then doubles down with "Giorno dopo giorno" (Day after day), "Godiamoci sto viaggio" (Let's enjoy this ride). He isn't asking forgiveness, just company for whatever's left of it.
The title line names the state he's actually in: "Notti in bianco" (Sleepless nights), "Sto tutto sfasato" (I'm completely off track), still "Ancora qua, in camera" (Still here, in my room), "A scrivere fino all'alba" (writing until dawn). One memory breaks through the haze — "Sopra quel balcone" (On that balcony), "Ci ho passato l'estate" (I spent the summer there) — before the pages get torn up and the chorus drags him straight back into the same restless nights.
Blanco, whose real name is Riccardo Fabbriconi, is a young Italian singer, rapper, and songwriter born in 2003 in Brescia, Italy, and raised near Lake Garda. He first broke through in 2021 with hits like "Mi fai impazzire," and his debut album Blu Celeste established him as one of Italy's most exciting new voices. In 2022, he won the prestigious Sanremo Music Festival alongside Mahmood with "Brividi," going on to represent Italy at the Eurovision Song Contest that year.
"Un Briciolo Di Allegria" pairs Blanco with Mina, one of Italy's most legendary singers. Born Anna Maria Mazzini in 1940, Mina rose to fame in the late 1950s and became the best selling Italian female artist in history, admired for her extraordinary three octave voice. She stopped performing live in the late 1970s but has continued recording ever since, making this duet with a young rising star a rare and celebrated collaboration for the 2023 Sanremo Festival.
